Client: NSW Public Works

Location: North Sydney, NSW

Description: Gran Associates were invited to prepare a master plan; then design and document the relocation of Bradfield Senior Secondary College to a TAFE campus at North Sydney. This project involved the adaptive reuse of a number of under-utilised buildings on the campus to provide a new senior school. The school has clearly defined boundaries that also permit managed integration with the TAFE community. The existing buildings and their surrounding spaces were carefully evaluated to achieve the  best possible use to support the school’s  self directed learning program. The resulting facility includes a 90 seat performance space, dance studio, music recording studio, radio recording studio, art rooms, design workshops, science labs, innovative learning spaces and a student retreat.
